We are glad to announce that the 4th edition of the European Health Tourism Industry Summit will take place on Wednesday, 20 November 2019 at the European Parliament in Brussels, hosted by the MEP István Ujhelyi, Vice-Chair of the Committee on Transport and Tourism, Member of the Committee on Environment, Public Health and Food Safety, and UNWTO Special Ambassador.
The last year’s event opened a fruitful discussion among European health tourism industry leaders and established a joint platform for the dialogue on Europe as a destination of health. This year the focus is on the sustainability and digitalisation and what is needed to address these challenges of today.
We are proud to announce that ESPA – European Spas Association is the Lead & Organizational partner of the Summit. Official Partners are prominent European associations: EHTTA – European Historic Thermal Towns Association, UEHP – European Union of Private Hospitals and EHMA – European Health Management Association and professional event organizers ITB Berlin and Termatalia, while being supported by the ETC – European Travel Commission.
The event will gather up to 120 attendees by invitation only, namely representatives of national and regional associations, leading healthcare providers and industry stakeholders. A cocktail reception and dinner will be offered after the Summit, hosted by the Croatian National Tourist Board on the occasion of the European Presidency in 2020. The next day site visits to healthcare providers will also be offered.
