Three days of a busy schedule in creating new opportunities for medical tourism – this is how the 6th edition of EMT European Medical Tourism Workshop 2022 took place at the Abano Terme resort in Italy on June 7-9. 187 participants from 25 countries of the world met here. In figures its 41 Exhibitor and 86 Buyers companies. Speakers from different countries shared their business insights with the audience.
One of the most interesting sections was Insurance Special Day in Medical Tourism which took place for the first time. After a two-year period of a pandemic and social tensions that have arisen in Europe due to the military conflict in Ukraine, the attention of medical companies to the insurance market without borders has become very relevant.
The Global Conference, where new development strategies were discussed, the Medical Tourism Awards Ceremony, the Day of Business Meetings, as well as evening discussions on cooperation in thermal pools in 5 * hotels – all this activities was received by international EMT participants. For the second time, the Medical Tourism Awards – a jury composed of facilitators, travel agencies and doctors – rewarded the most excellent clinics, thermal centers & medical spas.
