HTI European Buyers Initiative acts as a global hub for health tourism buyers with the goal of creating new business contacts, opening more sales channels and addressing issues related to the health tourism industry.
2022 was marked by 2 important milestones: a project completed for Business Finland and participation in the EHTI Summit in Brussels:
Business Finland – 30 new channels identified for health tourism cooperation
As part of the project with Business Finland, HTI EBI was invited to identify potential channels interested in exploring and developing the health tourism potential of Finland. Following detailed market research and having conducted interviews with potential channels, as an outcome of the project, HTI EBI completed a detailed survey consisting of carefully selected channels proposed for cooperation. Selected channels were invited to visit Finland and explore the medical offer by Finnish medical providers.
Participation in the EHTI Summit in Brussels
Ivan Rendulic, Head of HTI EBI was joined by several key health tourism buyers, during the EHTI Summit in Brussels. This event, which takes place in the Parliament in Brussels, is proven as the key B2G health tourism event in Europe. During the event, participating buyers had the opportunity to meet key EU Parliament Members and discuss issues and developments related to health tourism.
Big plans in 2023 – HTI EBI becoming a formal EU Association in 2023
The main plan for 2023 is upgrading HTI EBI into EHBA – European Health Buyers Association which will be located in Brussels. The goal of the European Health Buyers Association is to create a strong network of key European health tourism buyers, interested in developing health tourism in Europe. Activities by the Association will include education, promotion, consultancy and government support. European Health Buyers Association will continue to provide health tourism buyers with key information on health tourism industry data and statistics and at as same time being a strong voice towards policy stakeholders within the industry.
