High-level business interactions and B2B meetings took place onsite and online at the Business Forum Budapest on 30 November 2021. The Forum gathered companies and organizations from West Africa, such as Nigeria and Uganda, and Central-East European countries such as Hungary, Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Serbia, thus discussing diverse business opportunities.
HTI was honored to participate and speak about two topics: doing health tourism business in Croatia and opportunities for health travel and tourism development in Africa.
The Forum was organized by Mr. Michael Dada, CEO of Universal Diplomats, a company based in the UK with offices in Budapest and Lagos, and CEEWABA – Central-Eastern European and West African Business Association. It aims to promote trade and investment opportunities between African countries and Europe, targeting a very niche market considering the lack of business connections between the two regions. Therefore, meeting new investment and business partners should strengthen business opportunities.
The Ambassador of Nigeria to Hungary, Serbia, Croatia, and Bosnia and Herzegovina, HE Dr. Modupe Enitan Irele, endorsed the event and actively participated at business meetings. Her presence indicated the seriousness of the event and showed that Nigeria is open for business.
Other attendees included several CEOs, government officials, and other representatives of African countries. The expression “Tuko pamoja” in Swahili means “we are together” and stands for “We will build a prosperous Africa together where no country will be left behind.”
More details about the event are available here and at investmentforum.
