Chinese Southeast European Business Association (CSEBA) was established in 2013 with a full support of the Government of the People’s Republic of China following the meetings with Mr. Li Yuanchao, Vice-President of People’s Republic of China, and Mr. Li Jinjun, Deputy Head of the International Department of the Communist Party of China. CSEBA was established with a mission to provide the basis for economic and financial cooperation between China and the countries of South-Eastern Europe, with headquarters in Zagreb, Croatia.
The basic idea of CSEBA activities is to encourage international competitiveness and increase the economy internationalization of the countries in Southeast Europe and PR China by joint economic collaboration and implementation of development projects at all economy levels and industries. All interested individuals, private business entities, state-owned enterprises and institutions are all welcomed to collaborate in terms of implementing common business practices and sustainably developing their areas of interest.
CSEBA fully supports the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), development strategy adopted by the Chinese government involving infrastructure development and investments in countries in Europe, Asia and Africa. Southeast European countries are an important part of the initiative and significant cooperation partner for PR China, and the destination for a big part of Chinese investments dedicated to the initiative.
CSEBA works in the areas of investment (wide range of development projects), infrastructure (seaports, airports, railways), real estate (hospitality objects, commercial buildings, residential areas), innovation (electric vehicles, renewable energy, green technologies), education, culture and tourism (destination promotion, tourism cooperation, event organisation).
The association works with full understanding of political situation in all countries, capable for legislative lobbying and development of government relations, all to provide best possible investment consulting and related services for all its partners.
