Member of the European Parliament István Ujhelyi will host the event supported by Slovenia as Country Partner honoring the Slovenian Presidency of the Council of the EU 2021, while also having the European Spas Association as the organizational partner.

Welcome notes will be offered by MEP Ujhelyi and Zdravko Počivalšek, Minister of Economic Development and Technology, Deputy Prime Minister of Slovenia, and Chair of the Competitiveness Council of the European Union. Afterward, a roundtable on cross-border healthcare and prevention in European health destinations will get together leaders of the European Travel Commission – Eduardo Santander, European Spas Association – Thierry Dubois, and Slovenian Spas Association – Iztok Altbauer, as well as representatives of the European Commission: Velina Pendolovska from DG Health and Thomas Segretain from DG Grow.

It is a by-invitation-only session gathering members of the European Parliament, representatives of European associations, officials, and experts from the health tourism sector. Namely, this event represents the platform for discussion for the next European HTI Summit that will take place in the European Parliament in Brussels when Covid-restrictions would allow.
