Thomas Segretain, policy officer, European Commission
Thomas Segretain, policy officer, joined the European Commission in 2017. He started in the disability and inclusion unit of DG Employment and social Affairs, where he was responsible for policies related to sport and tourism for persons with disabilities, but also for several projects such as the Access City Award. He then joined the tourism team in DG GROW in the summer 2021 and follows policies linked to health tourism, as well as accessibility of tourism services. He is also in charge of communication activities of the unit (e.g. setting up the upcoming stakeholder support platform for the transition of EU tourism) and coordination of events (e.g. the European Tourism Forum and the European Tourism Day). Prior to his positions in the European Commission, he was the assistant of a French Senator from one of the outermost Regions of Europe: Guadeloupe.
